“As you’re undoubtedly conscious, the president’s son promoting paintings has generated quite a few questions surrounding the ethics and propriety of such actions,” Republican Rep. James Comer of Kentucky wrote in a letter obtained by Fox News to New York Metropolis artwork vendor Georges Berges.
Biden is listed on Berges’ gallery web site as certainly one of its artists.
“A lawyer by occupation, Hunter Biden now devotes his profession to the artistic arts, bringing a myriad of experiences to producing highly effective and impactful works,” his profile on the web site reads.
“His work vary from photographic to mixed-media to summary works on canvas, yupo paper, wooden, and metallic. He incorporates oil, acrylic, ink, and the written phrase to create distinctive experiences which have develop into his signature.”
Comer in his letter identified that the White Home’s settlement with Berges to maintain the identities of those that bought Biden’s paintings nameless, even from Biden himself, provides “extra obscurity for the consumers of Mr. Biden’s compositions.”
“The nameless gross sales of the president’s son’s paintings could possibly be an avenue for anybody wealthy sufficient — together with, doubtlessly, American adversaries — to purchase their manner into the Biden household’s, and President [Joe] Biden’s, good graces,” Fox Information reported.
Moreover, Comer criticized the excessive costs Berges set for Biden’s works, saying Biden doesn’t appear to imagine his artwork is value as a lot as Berges thinks it’s.
Biden’s paintings is reportedly being offered for between $75,000 to $500,000.

Comer wrote that given Hunter Biden’s “earlier roles as lawyer, lobbyist, and ill-defined govt for a world fossil gas company, the most recent chapter in — as you describe it — his ‘heroic journey’ is topic to skepticism.”
“It’s the Oversight Committee’s responsibly to scrutinize Mr. Biden’s enterprise actions as a result of he chooses to conduct them in probably the most murky and corrupt corners of worldwide affairs,” Comer continued.
“Furthermore, he has chosen — within the newest iteration of his profession — to promote commodities of fluid and opaque worth to nameless benefactors.”
Comer completed his letter by asking Berges to offer the Oversight Committee with details about Hunter Biden’s artwork dealings, together with the identities of those that bought his paintings and people who went to his artwork reveals, from November 2020 to the current.
