Hints From Heloise: How do I get charities to stop asking for donations?
Dear Heloise: The holidays seem to bring out the best and worst in people. I just got another call from someone via an audio recording saying I won $2.5 million and all I had to do was pay about $9,700 in taxes and 2.5 million dollars will be sent to me. Needless to say, this is a scam, and sadly one that has been too successful for scammers.
