Riot Games’ animated series Arcane premieres the second action on November 13. League of Legends Fans who are familiar with the champions in the game will get to see some of them.
Seven League champion in the second act of Arcane appeared in the first part of the program. Ekko is the only champion that appeared in the first season but didn’t make a clear return in the second. The stories of these champions will develop further in Arcaneare the final acts, and they can intertwine with storylines from even more characters to conclude the series.
Jayce, the progressive of Piltover, has made a place for himself as one of the Arcaneof the main characters in Upper City. His Hextech technology has revolutionized commerce in Piltover and he has made drastic changes as a member of the Council. He is aided by Mel, who informs him that he may have a target behind his back if he doesn’t sacrifice his security plan to appease the rest of the council. Through her, he participates in politics within the Council and makes deals with other members, who will eventually side with him.
Piltover’s father appeared at the start of Progress Day, the city’s science and innovation festival, when he asked Jayce to speak in celebration. After that, the champion will not appear until the end of the action, when Viktor finally unravels the mystery of the Hexcore. Heimerdinger, however, asks Jayce and Viktor to destroy the experiment after being reminded of the chaos caused by the Rune Wars. Jayce refused and then, along with other council members, elected him out of the council based on the idea that he was hindering progress.
Viktor was hopeful and ambitious in the first act. However, as the series moves into the second act, the champion becomes sicker, coughing up blood frequently. His character is sick and desperate to save his life with Hexcore. He also seems to have begun to lose connection with Jayce and intends to use the Hexcore to its fullest potential.
Viewers get a glimpse of his past when Singed meets him in Zaun City. He also ran into Heimerdinger there during the second season of the show. The final act could see him finally become his mechanical champion, which the community knows from League.
Marcus snatches Vi from Powder at the end of the first level and locks her in the Upper City. She accompanies Caitlyn on an investigation to Zaun to learn more about the intentions of Silco and her sister Powder (now Jinx). Vi grew up as a character during their time in Zaun, and audiences saw her appreciate the food of the people living in the city. During her expedition, she develops a connection with Caitlyn and takes revenge on one of the Executors responsible for Vander’s death. She eventually encounters Silco and Jinx at the end of the second level.
Jinx has one of the most important storylines as she develops into someone obsessed with gunpowder, explosives, and causing mayhem. She is working with Silco, and it seems he used Jinx to cause chaos in Piltover. However, she is still not completely skeptical. Upon learning that Vi has been released from prison, Jinx tries to reunite with his sister by lighting the blue flame Vi gave her in act one.
When she found out Vi was with Caitlyn, she thought Vi was trying to trap her. Adding to the misunderstanding, the sparks appeared out of nowhere and stole the Hextech Gems from them. Despite defeating a few Firelights, Jinx was unable to stop them from taking over Vi.
Caitlyn didn’t appear much in the first season, but she did have a strong presence in the second season of the series. She secretly investigates the Hexgate break-in that occurred in episode four and brings pieces of evidence, but she is caught by Marcus. To learn more about who is behind the attack, she takes Vi out of prison and takes her to Zaun, discovering about Shimmer and the state of the people in the city. She also helps Vi in finding Jinx, developing a deeper relationship with the former prisoner.
Singed is seen working with Silco in the first level. However, act two reveals his interactions with a young Viktor. He is impressed by Viktor’s inventions and shows him a mutant creature named Rio, an adult form of the little legend in Total Combat Tactics was named “Piximander.” Viewers can see Singed getting closer to his champion form in League, who wanted to carry out experiments by pushing the horrifying limits of his conception of the collective good.
Honorable Mentioners: Ekko and Teemo
Ekko is a charming supporting character in Arcaneis the first act, but he is not seen in the second. However, according to some theories, he could be the mysterious leader of the Lights because their technology looks similar to the champ’s kits in the series. League. With the Hextech Gem in his arsenal, the show was able to reveal his identity as the Firelight Leader in the final stage.
Bandle City’s Yordle Teemo also featured some easter eggs in the first season, but they got even better in the second. As Silco subtly threatens Marcus, one of the men behind Silco is sitting on a toy horse reading a book with pictures of the Bandle Scout. Teemo could appear in the final stage, or it could be Riot Games adding lore to the series from the Runeterra Universe.
The first and second act of Arcane to be is available to stream on Netflix, and the final action will premiere on November 20.
