Here Are All The Christmas Episodes Of ‘South Park’
The appeal of holiday programming to many entertainment fans is the comforting side of the movies and shows we enjoy watching. They break us from mundane routines and transport us into a blissful holiday kingdom filled with romance and often goofy storytelling.
A series that consistently delivers humor, satire, and plot throughout is South Park. It’s not an easy decision program for the holiday season ⏤ on the contrary, it tends to push things to the next level. Why ditch the irony and raw humor when you can just throw a bow at it and make it festive? That’s the approach South Park lost, and it works.
If you’re looking for some lighthearted humor to get you through the holiday season, here are nine Christmas episodes. South Park gave us over the years, in chronological order for your viewing pleasure.
“Mr. Hankey, the Christmas Poo” (Part 1, Episode 9)
When Kyle was cast as Saint Joseph in a play, his mother was not excited about the role because their family was Jewish and the play had a nativity theme. The mayor of South Park soon decided that the holiday season should be celebrated without anything that might offend anyone. Kyle quickly thought he had found the solution to the problem: Mr. Hankey, the Christmas Bear. However, no one else seems to be on board with the celebration of a poop, and they certainly don’t believe one has come back to life.
Kyle spends the entire episode trying to convince those around him that Mr. Hankey is real; However, it was found that Kyle was slowly losing his mind, throwing and placing feces in unnatural places. Will anyone believe Kyle by the end of the episode, or will he begin to question what’s going on around him? You’ll have to watch this hilarious episode to find out.
“Merry Christmas, Charlie Manson” (Part 2, Episode 16)
In the next Christmas of South Park, fans are delighted to realize that Mr. Hankey is now a holiday staple. In this episode, Stan is forbidden to visit Cartman’s grandmother during the holidays, because his family wishes he could spend Christmas with them. An argument ensues and Stan is taken to his room, but of course he has no plans to stay there. Instead, Stan breaks out to meet his friends and travels to Nebraska to visit Cartman’s relatives.
Upon arrival, they met Cartman’s uncle via video chat from a prison, where he introduced them to his friend and fellow inmate Charlie Manson. Within hours, Manson and Cartman’s uncle managed to escape the prison and break into the house the two boys were staying in. At first, this seemed like fun to the boys because Manson agreed to do things with them that other Cartman relatives wouldn’t. However, it is clear that he is not exactly a stand-up guy.
“Mr. Hankey’s Christmas Classics” (Season 3, Episode 15)
This episode is a multi-style Christmas event hosted by Mr. Hankey himself. Mr. Hankey invited viewers into his unique home to introduce short songs and songs unlike the usual Christmas carols and our experience. While the episode is filled with laughter and moments that might make you a little nauseous, it’s also an episode with emotional value. Images of characters appear on screen in a Christmas song that viewers are familiar with. The characters are all voiced by Mary Kay Bergman, who passed away before the episode was completed. The song honors her in one South Park Street.
Of course, there’s also a moment where Satan himself joins in to celebrate Christmas, with some notorious names living in the curse forever. Wouldn’t be a Christmas without that, would it?
“Christmas is very funny” (Season 4, Episode 17)
If the name isn’t immediately mentioned, the episode also puts Mr. Hankey, the Christmas bear, at the forefront of the holiday. However, it took some investigation to find him. Mr. Hankey didn’t show up because of Hanukkah, and Kyle was immediately worried. He gathers the boys and they go into the sewers to find him. They found out that Mr. Hankey is having some family troubles and things are not going well and happily for him this season.
Kyle, Cartman, Stan, and Kenny are dependent on saving Christmas, along with Mr. Hankey’s children, and together they try to recruit everyone they can to help them on their quest. They try to bring the spirit back to the holiday season with carols and cartoons. Will they succeed in their endeavor, or will Christmas be canceled on South Park this year?
“Red Sleigh Down” (Season 6, Episode 17)
When Cartman lets Kyle’s cousin tally his good deeds and bad deeds, he realizes he probably won’t make Santa’s good list this year. To redeem himself and get his coveted toy for the holidays, he traveled to Iraq to spread the fire to those he felt needed it most.
Back in South Park, Jimmy is honored to sing and light the Christmas tree, but it’s not an easy task as he struggles with his speech, a theme that continues throughout the episode. Cartman and the rest of the boys, along with Mr. Hankey’s special train, try to get to Santa to tell him about the kids who need a vacation in Iraq, but things quickly go awry. .
“It’s Christmas in Canada” (Season 7, Episode 15)
The Brovlofski family was stunned when Ike’s biological parents went to South Park to bring their son back to Canada. Heartbroken, they turned to the citizens of South Park, who immediately rallied to help them bring Ike back. This means there’s no money for Christmas presents this year, and guys believe there’s no holiday without presents.
As Kyle’s family suffers without Ike, the boys realize they must bring him back, and they travel to Canada to see what they can do. Selfishly, they also hope that this will ensure that they get presents at Christmas. What happens next is more than South Park fans can imagine, and between meeting Canadians struggling with their new code of law and Saddam Hussein, there’s a lot to unpack. in this volume.
“Woodland Critter Christmas” (Season 8, Episode 14)
Stan has every right to help the creatures of the woods this Christmas as they eagerly await the arrival of their savior, which doesn’t seem to hurt without guilt, doesn’t it? This is South Park we’re talking about, so obviously there’s a little more to the story than that. The creatures summon Stan first to help them place a star in their tree, then they make their way into his room at night and convince him to help them build a manger for the unborn baby. .
What happens next leads to Stan killing an innocent animal and becoming the one responsible for the cubs. Around this time, he discovered that the sweet creatures of the forest weren’t so sweet after all. They are Satanists, and their savior is the Antichrist. So, you know, that complicates things.
“#HappyHolograms” (Season 18, Episode 10)
“#HappyHolograms” was pretty special around Christmas and it was spurred on by Ike calling Kyle grandpa. It seems the boys of South Park have lost touch with what’s popular and “trending” these days. The episode covered everything from various trending topics on social media to real-life issues that were both social media and news discussions at the time, including Michael Brown’s death and the charges against Bill Cosby.
This episode covers a lot of things, from holograms and betrayal to misinformation and intergenerational ignorance. However, the boys learn an important lesson when all is said and done.
“Bicycle Parade” (Season 22, Episode 10)
In an episode a little closer to home, Amazon fulfillment centers are struggling around the holidays and someone has to find another means of transportation to get the gifts delivered. Ex-mall workers are soon found working at the Amazon hub and the South Park boys are happy this means they can join their bike parade and hope won first prize. Kenny quickly joins forces with the holiday commercialists in solidarity with his father, who is initially upset that Kenny doesn’t understand what is at stake.
When his friends are angry about his lack of interest in the bike parade, will Kenny join forces again with the boys or stand up for what he believes in? What happens next is a complicated story that takes the town completely away from the holiday spirit. Will they find their way back to the true meaning of Christmas, or have they gone too far?
