Henry Cejudo fights for featherweight title in 2022 and defends it too »FirstSportz

We’re getting close to seeing the UFC’s first three-tier champion as a manager Ali Abdelaziz reveal it Henry Cejudo will return to the octagon in 2022.
Henry Cejudo is one of the greatest combat sports athletes of all time. The former two-weight champion and Olympic gold medalist is looking to make a comeback in 2022. The boxer once had a 16-2-0 MMA record in his professional career.
Cejudo retires in 2020 after defending his bantamweight title first Dominick Cruz at UFC 249. Cejudo, according to manager Abdelaziz, entered the USADA test group in October 2021 and is training to return next year. After conquering two weight classes, Cejudo started a fight against Alexander Volkanovski in the classification of feathers.
“100% I do. I think he does,” Ali Abdelaziz said he was talking to MMA Fighting about Cejudo’s return to the UFC. “If he loses, he can go down to 135. He won’t come to fight. He’s going to be in a legacy match for three belts but at the end of the day there are plenty of fights at 135 and 145 more. ”
Ali Abdelaziz says Henry Cejudo is here to stay

Alexander Volkanovski is the current featherweight champion awaiting a real challenge in the division. Fighters are appearing for a great title defense against Brian Ortega at UFC 266. Volkanovski also beat the biggest featherweight star Max Holloway twice and was looking for a challenge in another department.
Henry Cejudo’s return to the featherweight division could spice things up. “It’s a huge gap in division. You have Alexander, you have Max and that’s a huge gap and you have someone like Giga [Chikadze], who has a seven-match winning streak. I think it’s the perfect time for Henry to come on and see what he can do in the league.” Ali told MMA Fighting.
Cejudo’s elimination from the UFC was not a memorable match despite the win. The boxer doesn’t have a good relationship with the UFC boss and Abdelaziz believes things will change now that he won’t bounce back after winning his third title.
