Henry Cavill ‘Ready and Waiting’ for Superman Call

Latest attempts at Superman The movie isn’t perfect. Warner Bros. tried to reboot the character by focusing on the nostalgic aspects of the icon with 2006 Superman reappears. Unfortunately, that movie ended up being a financial failure, leading Superman to wait until 2013 Man of Steel before seeing the silver screen again. The Zack Snyder-directed film was a financial success but received mixed reviews.

While the film itself isn’t a superhero, no one has a problem with Henry Cavill as Superman. Aside from the fact that he looks like the character, his performances in Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Alliance justice received praise from fans. Unfortunately, however, Warner Bros. gave little clarity on his future portrayal of the character.

Cavill has been open about the fact that he wants to play Superman again. Appear on British talk show Lorraine, he said he was simply waiting to hear from the set about his future playing the character, presumably in a phone booth.

“I still have the costume…just in case,” Cavill said. “Yes, I have, available and waiting for phone calls.”

Warner Bros. is working on a new Superman movie produced by JJ Abrams and written by Ta-Nehisi Coates which will star. Black Superman. Obviously, Cavill wouldn’t be fit to star in that movie. That doesn’t necessarily mean Krypton’s Last Son term is over, but it will complicate his future further. Warner Bros. could choose to continue from SnyderVerse and reprise the role. If Cavill had the option of wearing the cape again, it’s pretty clear what his answer would be.
