Heat warnings continue across Canada amid scorching temperatures and humidity

Environment Canada has extended heat warnings in a number of provinces as unseasonably hot conditions persist across the country.

The national weather agency’s warning covers large regions of southern Ontario, Nova Scotia, Alberta and BC

Environment Canada says maximum temperatures are expected to reach or exceed 30C and combined with humidity will reach the low forties.

Cooler temperatures are expected for most regions on Monday evening or Tuesday.

But the searing heat is expected to return to parts of Alberta on Wednesday.

Heat Warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to increase the risk of heat-related illnesses such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
