In a Reddit post, a user named Jean_Claude_Vacban shared a video of an unusual interaction they had. Halo Infinite. For context, the video takes place during an Oddball match on the Recharge map. Needing to complete a challenge involving melee kills with balls, players type into the group chat to see if anyone is available to assist. To their surprise, the Spartan player holding the ball dropped it to the ground in the presence of Jean_Claude_Vacban. The friendly Spartan then repeatedly pings the ball, signaling the player to pick it up.

The next part of the video shows Jean_Claude_Vacban getting 3 kills with the ball needed to complete the challenge. Once done, they rejoin the group chat and thank the teammate for the help. “Don’t worry, man,” Spartan replied quickly. Before the video ends, a match recap screen is displayed, showing that the player has completed the challenge. They even managed to move to level 27 in the battle pass.


This unexpected interaction between the Spartans made an impression on many members of the Halo Infinite community on Reddit. With over 2,300 upvotes in less than a day, many found the video refreshing compared to the toxic levels found in many games. In addition, some members of the community revealed that they had experienced similar acts of kindness while playing the game.
