HCS issues competitive ruling on Sentinels fraud allegation, suspends Royal2 until January

After heavy investigation, HCS officials established a competition judgment about the recent fraud allegations levied against the top organization Sentinels, as well as the star Halo Infinite Royal2 player.

On December 11, Inconceivable’s Snip3down explained the situation on his stream where Royal2 allegedly used geofiltering to block servers from giving you a ping on a specific number. He said many co-op teams are accusing Royal2 of coercing the Seattle server in every game, and that it was specifically set up to give him a better connection than any other player in the lobby.

The Halo The development team reviewed the server logs from all the matches Royal2 played Infinite as of November 15, 2021 and found some suspicious patterns in the matches. From his matches November 26 to December 3, all but one US server were missing from the server ping list. All Royal2 matches are forced to that one server, which causes unusually high pings for players in the affected matches.

“Our in-house development team has reproduced a well-publicized and documented tactic to proactively remove servers from the list of eligible servers,” the statement said. “In doing this, the resulting data signature matches the same data signature found in matches played by Royal2 where only the westus2 server is available.”
