What to know
The Atlanta Hawks will return home from a two-game journey. They and the New York Knicks will go head to head at 7:30 p.m. ET on November 27 at State Farm Arena without much rest after finishing yesterday’s games. Atlanta is maintaining their 5-game winning streak at home.
On Friday, the Hawks actually took down the Memphis Grizzlies in all four innings, winning 132-100 en route. The game only ended at the end of the third half, at which point Atlanta had established a 105-66 advantage. Protection point Trae Young and center Clint Capela was one of the main players for Atlanta as the former beat a double with 31 points and 10 assists and the latter posted a double with 23 points and 17 along with three blocks. It was nine games in a row where Capela had at least 12 rebounds. Capela’s points are the most he’s gotten all season.
Meanwhile, things couldn’t be worse for New York as they lost 118-97 to the Phoenix Suns on Friday. One thing that holds New York back is the mediocrity of the guards’ play Evan Fournier, who didn’t have his best game: he played for 25 minutes with a 4 to 15 shot.
The Hawks are the favorites in this game, with an expected win rate of 7.5 points. They have been consistent earners against the spread in favor (8-4), so they might be worth a quick bet.
Atlanta didn’t have too much trouble with the Knicks as the two teams had previously met in June with a 103-89 win. Atlanta’s win pushed New York out of the knockout stages, so they have goals behind them.
