Hawkeye star Hailee Steinfield opens up about working with Black Widow star Florence Pugh and dog Jolt, who plays Lucky the Pizza Dog
Hawk Eye Hailee Steinfield star has revealed her time in the upcoming Marvel Studios and Disney Plus series. In fact, she recently discussed her time working with Black Widow star Florence Pugh, who plays Yelena Belova
Steinfield did not object to having her work debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Hawk Eye. She is training, practicing archery and also giving depth to her performance on camera to make sure she bringing Kate Bishop to life best she can. Steinfield is known for roles in projects like Arcane, Dickinson, Pitch Perfect 3, and Bee.
While there are no details on Pugh’s significant role as Yelena Belova will Hawk Eye, post-credits scene of Black Widow said she would come to avenge Clint Barton, who she believes was responsible for the death of Natasha Romanoff. However, Steinfeld recently discussed a scene she shot involving both Kate Bishop and Yelena, presumably marking the first meeting between the two characters in the MCU. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Steinfeld said of her time with Pugh, “We had a moment together when we were filming and something went wrong… There was no recovery after that. I started laughing so hard that someone thought I was crying – I don’t know what that said about my smile – and I just remember a bunch of people running in and saying, ‘Everyone’s fine. right?’ And I was literally looking down at the ground, just laughing hysterically. Please note, we’re in a scene that in no way, shape or form can be funny. We really had a great time together.”
She then went on to humorously discuss how it works with the playing dog Lucky the Pizza Dog. “Kate [Bishop] and Lucky are pretty much on this journey together. The real dog that plays Lucky – his name is Jolt – makes me think I need to take Martini for training,” the actress said, referring to her pet. I was saying to Jolt’s manager, “I’d love for Martini to know that ‘sit’ and ‘come’ and whatever.” And he said, ”Leave her with me for two weeks and I will let her do what Jolt is doing. ” And I said, ‘First of all, I’m not leaving her with anyone for two weeks. Thank you very much.'”
It’s always good when an actor enjoys their time on these superhero hits. Many times it seems that these projects require a lot of work to be done and do not always have the easiest schedule. So it’s nice to see Steinfeld really enjoying himself in the filming of Hawk Eye.
Steinfield’s character has also received rave reviews from those who were able to watch a few episodes of the series early. Hopefully, fans will see the same thing when the show is released. Hawk Eye will be here before the fans know it, right before extremely predictive Spider-Man: There’s no way home.
Hawk Eye coming to Disney Plus on November 24, 2021.
