‘Hawkeye’ fans are debating the ultimate fate of the show’s main villain

This article contains spoilers for the final episode of Hawk Eye

Since then a mysterious, majestic but very familiar character appeared in the third episode, Hawk Eye Fans have been craving Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin. The final moments of the fifth episode saw Wilson Fisk personally arrive on the show, and this week’s finale saw him get his hands dirty.

It’s been three years since he last saw our screen in Daredevil, but Hawk Eye proves that his break from the MCU doesn’t diminish his fighting skills and insane levels of physical endurance. Over the course of the episode, Fisk is defeated and keeps coming.

He shrugs cutting an arrow to his chest, immediately getting ready to fight after being run over by a car, brutally knocking down Kate Bishop in a brutal fight scene, and only to be taken out in the end. collapsed when Kate activated every trick arrow she had at once. But even that huge explosion only stunned him.

Kingpin ends the episode by stumbling across an alley, only to meet a very angry Maya. She now knows her ‘uncle’ is responsible for her father’s death and, despite his protests that they are family, still holds up a gun. As the camera panned, we heard a gunshot. So, did the Kingpin die shortly after returning?

Fans don’t buy it:

Most conclude that D’Onofrio will be around in the MCU for a while longer. He is likely to appear next in Echo, will display What does Alaqua Cox’s character do after the events of this show. As many have noted, his final scene in Hawk Eye is a reference to an important scene in the comics, so his next appearance could leave him (temporarily?) blind. If so it would be an interesting way to bring back Charlie Cox, as I’m sure Matt Murdock will have something to say about that.

Here’s to hoping we’ll see more of Vincent D’Onofrio’s Fisk soon, as this episode emphasizes just how terrifying he can be in a fight.

Hawk Eye available on Disney Plus.
