Harvey Weinstein Pleads Not Guilty in Court Appearance for L.A. Case

KTTV Fox 11
Harvey Weinsteinwas back on the West Coast, and was just facing a judge in his LA sexual assault case – now he’s officially indicted, and denied wrongdoing… with a plea official defense.
The one-time film producer appeared in person to testify Wednesday in LA County court, where 11 of the charges he faces were read to him, one by one.
The charges are for alleged sexual assaults over the years, involving 5 different women. In response, Weinstein pleaded not guilty – which he is expected to do based on how he has committed in the recent past.
Now, we say Weinstein will remain under house arrest by LA authorities while the case is pending. If it eventually gets tested – which it seems to be at this point – that means he’ll be here for a long time.
As we reported… Weinstein was extradited from NY to LA Tuesday. TMZ posted the first pictures of HW getting off the plane, and he appeared in civilian clothes… not a prison suit. Remember, he was having a hard time in a NY state prison for sexual assault.
However, Weinstein wore a brown prison suit and was in a wheelchair during Wednesday’s hearing.
