Harry Wilson: Fulham sign Liverpool winger for £12m on long term contract until 2026 | Football News

Harry Wilson has been linked with a £ 12million move from Liverpool to Fulham.

The club also confirmed that goalkeeper Paulo Gazzani has arrived in west London on a two-year deal following the expiration of his contract at Tottenham last month.

Wilson, 24, enjoyed a series of season-long debts in Derby and Bournemouth before the 2020/21 season at Cardiff City, where he scored seven times and conceded 12 in 37 Bluebirds championship games.

He recently competed in Euro 2020 in Wales, winning 2-0 against Turkey and defeating Italy and Denmark when Rob Page’s side reached the last 16.

Wilson is a product of the Liverpool academy and was expelled from the Merseyside club after 15 years, but the Welshman struggled in the first team while at Anfield.

In an interview with FFCtv after the signing, Wilson said: “I’m delighted with Fulham’s signature. From my first conversation with Gaffer on the phone, I loved his words and felt that he understood me as a player and that this role played a huge role in come here

“The club’s dream to return to the Premier League has attracted me because we want it everywhere. I hope I can come here and have a good season and help bring the club back to the Premier League.”

Gazzani will arrive at Craven Cottage ahead of the 2021/22 season after completing his four-year stay at Tottenham.

The 29-year-old left the London club with 37 first-team appearances. The Argentinian, who was mainly inexperienced to Hugo Lloris in the Spurs, also spent a short spell in his final season at La Liga club Elche CF.

When moving to Fulham, Gazzaniga said: “Fulham is a great club. I love the challenge and I think this is a great opportunity for me.

“When they talked about this project in Fulham, the decision was easy. The league is very strong and I’m looking forward to the start.”

Meanwhile, Stefan Johansen has made a permanent move to QPR from Fulham with a £ 600,000 fee.

He spent the second half of last season at Loftus Road and has now joined the Rangers with a three-year deal after lengthy negotiations since the end of the last campaign.

Following his departure from the Premier League, Fulham will return for their Championship Championship at home to Middlesbrough on 8 August.

Ahead of the new season, the club appointed former Everton and Watford managers Marco Silva to replace Scott Parker after leaving the role of head coach by mutual consent to acquire Bournemouth.
