Halo Infinite matches will provide enough XP to level up at least once per day
Concerned about the progress of Halo InfiniteThe Battle Pass is ongoing, but 343 Industries is taking steps to make things easier. Earlier today, the company announced that multiplayer matches in Halo Infinite will now give a bigger XP boost – enough to level up at least once per day. It may not be all the changes fans want, but it’s a step in the right direction.
Taking to Twitter, 343’s community manager, John Junyszek, outline change. From the very beginning, the developer offered players 50 XP for each completed match through the “Play 1 Game” Challenge. Now, the first game completed will gain more exp in your first six matches of the day. The first game offers 300 XP, then 200 XP for the second and third games, and finally, 100 XP each for your remaining three games. After the sixth game, Halo Infinite will come back to give 50 XP for a match.
The math here is pretty simple. To advance in the Battle Pass, you need to accumulate 1,000 XP. Doing so will raise your rankings one by one and may land you a prize that interests you. Completing the aforementioned matches grants 1,000 XP, so you’ll be able to level up as long as you complete six matches per day. It resets every day, so now you should be able to progress faster than before.
Change XP for Halo Infinite According to Junyszek, this is just the beginning. The team is planning to make “bigger changes,” but it “will take time.” Members of 343 spoke out about the backlash over the game. Damn, even the team itself feel pressured. Over the weekend, Jerry Hook, head of design at Halo Infinite, wrote that he “felt everyone’s pain as he progressed,” and that it would be “at the top of the list.”
In other Halo Infinite news, Junyszek Address recent concerns through online fraud. He writes that while cheating will “never go away completely”, the team will “consistently improve our game system and act on the bad guys”. He also asked players to report cheaters on the Halo support page. There is currently no in-game option to report people.
343 Industries also dropped the campaign trailer earlier today. The game launches on December 8, so this should whet some people’s appetite for something that doesn’t have multiplayer.
