Halo Infinite Fusion Coil: How to Complete the Fusion Frenzy Challenge

NS Fusion Frenzy Challenge in Halo Infinite requires the player to kill enemies with a Fusion Coil in PvP. Unfortunately, that’s easier said than done as these items are often static. Most experienced players will avoid these explosives, but luckily players can pick up and throw Fusion Coils in Halo Infinite.

How to kill enemies with Fusion Coil in Halo Infinite

There are two ways to kill enemies with Fusion Coil in Halo Infinite:

• Detonate it while they are standing next to one.
• Throw one at them.

When standing still, it’s a lot harder to kill because the enemy basically needs to be right next to the Fusion Coil to ensure a kill. Most Halo players instinctively avoid them, but it’s possible to catch someone slipping.

A new feature in Halo Infinite is the ability to pick up Fusion Coils. After the player has one in their hand, they can throw it away. Once thrown, the coil will explode if it hits a solid object such as the ground, wall, vehicle, or player.

Ideally, players could complete the Fusion Frenzy challenge by throwing coils at enemies. However, there’s no umbrella to help with targeting, so it’s pretty hard to get a direct hit (especially if you’re going through lagging goal). Despite dealing a large amount of damage, there is only a small area that the Fusion Coil explosion guarantees to kill. So while it’s easier to kill by throwing a coil than trying to shoot or throw a grenade at it while the enemy is standing next to it, it’s still far from easy.

The easiest way to complete this challenge is to ask a groupmate for help. If they can shoot the enemy and lower the shield before the player throws the coil at them, then the chance to kill with splash damage will be much higher.
