Halo Infinite developer address development system, XP bonus increase in latest update

The developers at 343 Industries have been watching closely Halo Infinite’s development system since the multiplayer beta was dropped earlier this month. After hearing feedback from the community about passing the match, the developers made the decision to increase the “paying XP” for the first six matches of the day.

This update, slated to hit live servers on Tuesday, November 30th, will greatly speed up the leveling process by giving players hundreds of extra XP.

To help settle “slower initial payouts” and also benefit players who jump in every day, the developers are making the following changes to the progression system:

  • First game = 300 XP
  • Second game = 200 XP
  • Third game = 200 XP
  • Fourth game = 100 XP
  • Fifth game = 100 XP
  • Friday game = 100 XP
  • Saturday game = 50 XP

This, in addition to challenges players can complete over the course of the week, will smooth the leveling process and make opting into battle less strenuous and more challenging.

“We know many of you want even bigger changes and we are committed to doing so, but those will take time,” 343 Industries community manager John Junyszek said in a social media post. “We’ve made this update based on player data and feedback, and we’ll be monitoring its impact after going live tomorrow morning.”

Halo Infinite’s Campaign mode and full game experience set for release on December 8.
