Halo Infinite confirms SWAT and Free-For-All playlists

343 Industries announced that they are working on expanding Halo Infinite’s multiplayer playlist, including the much-anticipated return of SWAT and Free-For-All.

Despite the praises of Halo InfiniteThe multiplayer gameplay, fans and critics alike have been vocal about how it’s structured, especially in the multiplayer mode. This feedback has not fallen on deaf ears, with 343 Industries announcing that updates are coming Halo Infinitemultiplayer selection, including the return of some fan-favorite modes.

Many fans were confused by Halo InfiniteThe multiplayer issues, when considering other games in the franchise have avoided these. Currently, players can choose between three multiplayer playlists in Halo Infinite: Quick Play, Big Team Battle and Ranked Arena. These playlists are not game modes but rather indications of the type of games players will be in, with Quick Play offering a 4v4 mode, Big Team Battle having a 12v12 mode, and the Ranked Arena as well. is 4v4, but has competitive settings. Which says, Halo Infinite players just want to choose the type of game they’re looking to play, especially since many of the Weekly Challenges require individual game modes.

Halo InfiniteThe playlist will receive some major updates before the end of the year, 343 Industries has announced. The news comes from a few tweets by Halo Community manager, John Junyszek, writes that the studio is currently working on adding Tactical Slayer (SWAT) and Free-For-All playlists to Halo Infinite, as well as bringing back Fiesta Mode. 343 Previously mentioned industries Fiesta mode will only return in the next Tenrai event in January. As for when the updates will be available, Junyszek said, “They won’t land on December 8, but the team is pushing to get them before the end of the year,” followed by an emoji.

Junyszek explains in detail in a following post that the purpose of Halo Infiniteevent of is to test the game modes before fully adding them as a playlist. 343 Industries’ current plan is to monitor how these three playlists are performing in terms of health and adjust as needed. However, fans will have to wait until after the holidays to start choosing between the individual Quick Play and Big Team modes. In a final tweet, Junyszek wrote, “A Social Slayer playlist (with many variations) is also active (we see this request the most), but we won’t be able to prep it.” until after the holiday.”

For those hoping to see the changes coming Halo Infinite, this is where 343 Industries is tackling them.
