Halle Berry Praises Zendaya as Hollywood’s Next Generation of Talent

Screen legend Halle Berry is calling it: the next big talent to hit the Hollywood trail is none other than Zendaya.
Berry – who remains the only black woman to win an Academy Award for Best Actress in 2001 Monster’s Ball – stated in a recent interview with Diversity. This is part of a series where the publication asked four Oscar winners to choose one to represent the future of Hollywood.
With her impressive cinematography, 25-year-old Zendaya has made a name for herself in a relatively short period of time for films like Spider-Man: Homecoming, Malcolm & Marie, Sand dunesand HBO series Happiness. So it’s no surprise that Berry chose Zendaya to be the next person to rock Hollywood, as she’s been so focused on quality work so far.
“She’s going to be writing, directing, and beyond me in less time,” said Berry, who just made her directorial debut with the Netflix series about MMA fighters. Bruises.
More on the subject, Berry said she thinks Zendaya is “extremely talented, young and already has an Emmy. The youngest person ever in a dramatic series,” referring to her win in 2020 for the teen drama about drug addiction. Happiness.
Berry went on to say that she loves it too Zendaya in Malcolm & Marie, the light-hearted, dialogue drama, starring John David Washington.
“It is very creative. The honesty and simplicity of that piece told me the sky was the limit for her – and that she was brave, unafraid to take chances, real and wild beautiful. ”
