Haiti arrests top security official in slain president probe

The arrest comes as greater than 1,000 demonstrators gathered round one in all Haiti’s most infamous gang leaders to commemorate Moïse. The gang was largely wearing white as they cheered on Jimmy Cherizier, a former police officer who now leads “G9,” a federation of 9 gangs that officers have blamed for a spike in violence and kidnappings in current months.
