Guild completes the qualifiers almost perfectly to reach EMEA VCT Challengers One

The guild is entering the main event of EMEA VCT Challengers One after a near-perfect match in the open and closed qualifiers, which ended with a 3-0 victory over Team Vitality that refused to give up despite the regularity eliminated. Guild’s new interface VALUABLE assignment sheet became the first qualifying EMEA team to join invited teams at today’s Challengers One main event.

The Guild has launched to activate Vitality’s Breeze pick, with Sayf’s monstrous performance on Jett showing why the team kept him going into the new year. He got a lot of help with the new addition Russ adds attacks with Skye, while koldamenta gets a lot of support using Viper’s utility. Vitality still fought to regain the 11-11 draw, but lost a serious anti-ecological round to the Sheriffs, pushing the Guild to the finish line with a score of 13-11.

Clans assemble another impressive offensive faction to begin their Binding pick, with Sayf offering more massive rounds at the outset for Clan growth. The lead increased to 8-1 before Vitality ended the first half to tie the map at 8-8, thanks to some big push from bramz. But as soon as Vitality returned to the map, Guild closed the door with a solid defense for five of the next six rounds to secure Bind 13-9 and lead the series 2-0.

It was the same in Split, with the Guild taking the lead again — this time on defense. Leo had a brilliant first half against Sage, with 15 kills thanks to his solid defense to give his team a 9-3 lead after halftime. Vitality’s already slim chance at a desperate comeback became slimmer after they lost in the second round of pistols, but on the third map in a row, they fought like lean back against the wall. After getting their OP, they were able to turn the Guild’s 11-3 score into an 11-11 draw. But the Guild prevented the collapse again with two consecutive rounds after two consecutive A rounds, preventing another Vitality comeback and taking the series to 3-0.

Of the nine best of three matches in open and closed qualifiers, the Guild dropped only a single map on its way to claiming a spot at Challengers One. Vitality hasn’t made it out of the closed qualifiers yet, but they’ll be relegated to the finals of the losing team to take on BIG for one more jailbreak at the main event.
