Sandra McIntosh’s family is grieving after the 46-year-old was found murdered not far from her home in Medford.
“We were just distraught. Tanisha Evans, the victim’s cousin, said.
“I want justice for my sister. She doesn’t deserve it,” said Sophia Caines, the victim’s sister.
Suffolk Police say McIntosh was found stabbed along Woodland Avenue in Holtsville about four miles away from her home around 8 pm Thursday night.
“Someone heard her scream ‘Help, help’ and called an ambulance, they picked her up and took her to Stony Brook where she was passing,” Caines told CBS2’s Cory James.

“She gets letters from patients,” Caines said.
The rest of McIntosh’s family is trying to understand how this could happen to someone they say has a heart of gold.
“Sandra is amazing. She is very giving, loving. Like, she’s happy. She is a wonderful person. Like, for this to happen to her, it just wasn’t right,” Evans said.
“She will give you one last time. What kind of person she is,” Caines said.
Candles and flowers lit up the street where the mother, daughter and sister for these four siblings were found.
It was a sight that brought too much pain to her son, who had a message for the killer.
“Out of respect, serve yourself,” he said.
The whole family shared that sentiment, hoping that the person responsible will be caught and brought to justice.
“You can run, but you can’t hide, and God doesn’t sleep,” Evans said.
Police have not released details of the fatal stabbing or information about a suspect, but family members say the person is someone their relatives know.
