Grand Theft Auto Online’s ‘Fixers’ update brought Dr. Dre is back!
A leaker claims that they’ve heard some new information about Rockstar’s next update to Grand Theft Auto Online, dubbed ‘Fixers.’
Grand Theft Auto Online Players are eagerly awaiting new information about the next big update of the online multiplayer game. It’s been almost half a year since the Los Santos Tuners update and more than half a year before that for the Cayo Perico Heist. It’s almost a year with just one major Grand Theft Auto Online update. However, there’s growing evidence that Rockstar is getting closer to what’s to come. In fact, one leaker claims to know the codename of the next update: “Fixers.”
The major leaks and rumors came from the Rockstar Tez2 news sharer on their Twitter account. Tez2 begins by saying that “by source” is unnamed, Grand Theft Auto OnlineIts next update is codenamed “Fixers.” Think of this name like how Update Los Santos Tuners can be codenamed “Tuners”. Thus, where the Tuners update focuses on Los Santos’ underground car races and vehicle customization, Fixers will have a similar thematic focus and content.
However, Tez2 has only one other detail regarding the Fixers update that they share with certainty. They mention that Dr. Dre will be participating in the Fixers update, resuming his role in Grand Theft Auto Online after debuting in Cayo Perico Heist. However, since Tez2 did not mention where they heard this information from, it is possible that they are just speculating. It would be intuitive if Dr. Dre kept showing up, but a lot can change in a year.
While Tez2 hasn’t released any other leaks, they do make some informed assumptions about where they think they are. Grand Theft Auto Online will go next. They believe that, due to Involvement of Dr. Dre that Fixers could be related to music, with a recording studio business or something like that at the heart of it. If not, Tez2 believes Fixers will be similar to the Los Santos Tuners updates in that it will offer a variety of new, similar contract types.
It should be clarified that this information is not completely reliable. Tez2 is not necessarily a reliable source of information, plus the distinction between originating and speculative leaks is also very vague in this leak. Best stance for Grand Theft Auto Online player remained patient and skeptical until Rockstar made an official announcement.
However, patience is a challenge to hold on right now. Main Grand Theft Auto Online Updates are so rare these days, it’s no surprise that fans pay attention to rumors and leaks regardless of their veracity. Here’s hoping that Fixers is a serious leak and that means an update is coming soon, if only to fuel excitement for Next year’s PS5 and Xbox Series X/S ports.
