Governor Abbott announced that he would not impose Jab duties on the Texas National Guard

Although Governor DeSantis has earned the lion’s share of attention for standing up to President Brandon’s incompetent regime, he is not the only one to do so. Governor Abbot of Texas, while sometimes not quite ready to confront Team Brandon, stands up for his state’s interests in times of crisis.

Now is one of those times. President Brandon is requiring all serving members, including members of the reserve and National Guard, to engage in offensive conduct. The abbot, at Oklahoma’s direction, is saying he will not enforce that order against the Texas National Guard.

News of that came on Thursday, when Governor Abbott sent a letter to Sec Def Austin, announcing his stance on the jab mandate. He later posted a copy of that letter on Twitter:

In it, he says:

“As Governor of Texas, I am the commander-in-chief of this State’s militia. In that capacity, on October 4, 2021, I have ordered the Texas Assistant Superintendent to comply with my Executive Order GA-39.

[…]Under this order, General Norris will not punish any guard in Texas for choosing not to receive the vaccine.

If unvaccinated sentinels suffer any adverse consequences in the State of Texas, they will only have President Biden and his Administration accountable. Your memo of November 30, 2021 risks cutting off the flow of federal dollars to unvaccinated members of the National Guard serving in what’s known as “Title.” 32″. The Secretary of the Air Force went even further, explicitly warning about the discharge procedure in a memo dated December 7, 2021.

This willingness to remove the National Guard is unconscionable in the face of growing global threats and the border crisis created by the Biden Administration. It is also tense with recent legal decisions. President Biden and his Administration have suffered a string of losses in federal court over their other illegal vaccine mandates…

And, finally, he concludes by saying:

“The state of Texas will not enforce this latest COVID-19 vaccination duty on its defenders. If the federal government continues to threaten to discredit the Texas National Guard, I will deploy every legal tool available to me as Governor to protect these American heroes.”

So, like DeSantis, Governor Abbott is standing up against the tyrannical diktats of Team Brandon.

Moments Def. Austin, for his part, rejected the Oklahoma governor’s request that the Oklahoma National Guard be excused from the vaccination duty and reiterated that service soldiers who choose not to inject may be marked AWOL or see their wages paid, or possibly fired.
