Google’s rumored Pixel Watch could launch in the first half of 2022

We’ve been hearing rumors about Google working on smartwatches for the past few months. There are also rumors that the Pixel Watch will launch in October alongside the Pixel 6 series. Now we’re hearing from the source close to Business Insider that the Mountain View company plans to release the smartwatch in the first half of 2022.
At the moment, we don’t know what brand Google will use for its new smartwatch. However, the company is using various names to refer to the project, including “Pixel Watch”, “Android Watch”, according to tipster Jon Prosser. On the bright side, the Pixel maker may have decided on the specs and design of the watch.
According to sources, Google’s new wearable will be “round and without physical bezel”. It will work with new exclusive watch bands and will require you to charge it daily. But what’s worse is that the charging speed is expected to be quite slow, although it doesn’t mention whether it will feature fast charging technology.
Furthermore, the Pixel Watch, or whatever the company calls it, will feature heart rate monitoring and step counting. According to rumors, the wearable could also benefit from the integration of Fitbit on Wear OS.
Google is currently testing the smartwatch internally, and if everything goes as planned, the company will release the wearable as early as spring. We hope to know more details about it in the coming months. Rest assured, we’ll be giving you all the latest leaks about Google’s new smartwatch, so stay tuned.
