Google originally planned to end support for Windows 7 on July 15, 2021, but due to the pandemic, this has extended to January 15, 2021.
Now the company has decided to add another year to that deadline, with Support for Chrome on Windows 7 will end no earlier than January 15, 2023.
This coincides with Microsoft’s deadline of January 2023, when the operating system will no longer be extended support by Microsoft itself. Of course, the Home version is out of support on January 14, 2020.
Edge on Windows 7 will also end support on January 15, 2023, while Internet Explorer will end support on June 15, 2022.
It’s currently unclear what level of support Google will offer for Chrome on Windows 7, but it may only include security and bug fixes, rather than providing new features.
