God of War Fun Mode Adds Unused Dialogue From Christopher Judge
God of War PC mods are being made to change all sorts of features of the game, but people just added some dad jokes from Christopher Judge.
The mod community has really shined to God of War it’s on PC now. Some of the most impressive game mods in history have added new gameplay features in the past. New levels, weapons, characters – all can be brought into the game that amateur developers never have. Or, the modifier can just change God of War‘s dialogue joke with dad.
God of War was released for PC on January 14th and, like the PS4 original, it has received worldwide acclaim. A profound and impactful reboot of what we previously thought of as a simple action game, the PS4 version has been widely regarded as one of the best games of the last generation of consoles. It’s now been upgraded on PC with some new graphical features, including true 4K resolution and up to 120 FPS gameplay. However, that hasn’t stopped the gaming community from trying to tweak things further.
The video below was posted on Reddit not to show off a mod with new graphical features but a whole new dialogue with new lines from Kratos himself, Christopher Judge. This hilarious new mod not only allows Kratos to curse, but also has some horrible dad jokes. It’s impressive to see that the subtitles have also been changed to new dialogue, with a great touch that makes an already entertaining mod even better. The mod can be easily installed by anyone with the PC version, so gamers can see for themselves how different the dialogues are.
While the best joke is from the legendary version of “God of Dad,” some of this dialogue comes from the incredible length documentary behind God of War, summon Raise Kratos, well worth a look for any fan of the series. Players will need to spend two hours on it, but time is needed to dive into all the hard work that has gone into completely revamping and updating the beloved PlayStation series. Nearly four million people have watched it on YouTube alone, showing how beloved the game has become.
While gamers wait God of War: Ragnorak will be released later this year, many people are thinking about improvements can be made from the first time God of War. The release date never seems to get closer, but if players have the original game on PC, they’ll obviously have plenty of mods to try in the meantime.
