God of War Fans Share Epic Concepts For Horizon Forbidden West Crossover
A God of War fan created a dramatic render for a Horizon Forbidden West crossover that shows Aloy with the Leviathan ax.
God of War is one of PlayStation’s most iconic franchises thanks in part to Kratos, the series’ once-angry protagonist and, more recently, stoic. A fan imagines if another character took God of War the focus, none other than Aloy from the upcoming Forbidden Horizon in the West.
The God of War The series has gained popularity and impact it hasn’t seen in 20 years. While players rave about its initial release in 2018, more recently God of War PC port allowed a whole new group of gamers to experience the game and become fans of the series. Despite its popularity, there are only a few official references and crosses between God of War and other PlayStation franchises. One such example is God of War Easter eggs in Ghost of TsushimaThe Iki Island expansion that all players should see for themselves.
Reddit user TurfMerkin has created an amazing simulation of the potential God of War and Forbidden Horizon in the West what the model might look like. In their post comes God of War subreddit, TurfMerkin shows a rendering of a dark (and slightly bloody) Aloy in Kratos’ costume from God of War, including his sturdy shoulder cauldron and bracelet. On top of that, she is shown confidently when holding Kratos .’s signature Leviathan ax, a versatile and useful weapon introduced in God of War. It didn’t take long for fans to come up with a name for the incarnation of the character, naming them “Kraloy”.
Although a crossover like this wouldn’t really make sense in God of War, it can definitely happen in Forbidden Horizon in the West. System of costumes in Forbidden Horizon in the West has been extended since it was introduced in Horizon Zero Dawn, with Aloy gaining certain skills while wearing specific outfits rather than just providing passive effects. In the same way that Ghost of Tsushima With a Kratos-inspired samurai armor, Aloy could easily have a Kratos-based outfit like the one TurfMerkin did — a bonus if it also modifies Aloy’s spear into a Leviathan Ax.
That does not mean Horizon somehow still can’t get through God of War although. TurfMerkin joked in the comments that their next render of Kratos wearing Aloy’s clothes (although it might look a bit silly) would make more sense than Kratos fully swapped out for Aloy as shown earlier. head.
God of War there’s a very convoluted armor system, possibly a DLC Shield-Weaver armor set or some other recognizable outfit that Kratos might wear. It would be pretty awesome to see the swarm of magical attacks flooding Kratos simply bouncing off the Shield-Weaver’s force field.
