God of War breaks 65,000 concurrent players on Steam a day after launch

God of WarThe recently released PC version has reached the highest 65,172 players on Steam today, according to SteamDB. The title launched on PC on Friday, January 14 and attracted more than 60,000 players just a day after launch, which is nothing short of impressive for a single-player game.
God of War on PC isn’t just successful with multiplayer. The Santa Monica studio’s production also received mostly positive reviews. It has a score of 93 on Metacritic, out of 51 comments.
The Adventures of Kratos continues the trend of admirably converting games from PlayStation to PC. Two old PS exclusives have been released for PC, Horizon: Zero Dawn and Day by day. Both received critical acclaim: the first to have 84 points on Metacritic, while the latter scored 76 points on the same platform.
Recently, Valve has many reasons to celebrate when it comes to Steam. At the beginning of 2022, the platform’s popularity hit a record 27.9 million concurrent users.

Currently, it is not clear whether God of Warsequel of, God of War Ragnarok, will also launch on PC. Santa Monica Creative Director, Cory Barlog tell GameInformer he “didn’t know” about porting the sequel to PC and that “in the end, it was Sony’s decision.”
