Giant goldfish clogging waterways prompt warnings

On this picture offered by the Metropolis of Burnsville, Minn., a big goldfish caught in Keller Lake throughout a water high quality survey is held, Friday, July 2. Officers in Minnesota say they’re discovering extra large goldfish in waterways, prompting a plea to residents to cease illegally dumping their undesirable fish into ponds and lakes. The goldfish, which might develop to the dimensions of a soccer, compete with native species for meals and improve algae in lakes. (AP)
