Genshin Impact Shenhe & Yun Jin Kit Full Details Leaked (December Buff)

Private Beta Test for Genshin Impact 2.4 began on November 24, which means the first series details for Shenhe and Yun Jin have leaked.

Shenhe and Yun Jin are two new characters that will be introduced in Genshin Impact Version 2.4. About a month and a half from now. Both were highly anticipated characters when they were part of the first batch of data-mined characters over a year ago. It was during the first Beta Tests, before the official release The Genshin effect on September 28, 2020.

We now have the first details about Shenhe, who appears to be a DPS Cryo character, and Yun Jin, a new Shield character.

As always, all credit goes to the WFP Discord leakers you are familiar with and Honey Impact Database. And remember that everything is subject to change. Updated November 25: Full kits have been leaked and all details below have been modified. Please go through the article again if you do not understand. Update December 6th: Both Shenhe and Yun Jin are lightly “buffed” (They are still working on the characters in the process so it’s pointless to talk about buffs or nerfs).

Genshin Impact 2.4 – Yun Jin elemental skill, Burst

Yun Jin’s elemental / E skill is called Whirling Opener. It has a Press and Hold version. Press E to have Yun Jin attack with her Polearm and inflict Geo DMG. While holding E, Yun Jin is in the Open Swirl position and rushes forward. Forms a Shield ratio with her max HP, with a 150% absorption rate on all damage, physical, and elemental. When the Shield disappears, it deals geo damage depending on how long the Shield is charged. There is a level 1 and level 2 fee.

Overall, it seems to be quite similar to Zhongli’s Jade Shield, which also has 150% absorption for any type of damage. Yun Jin’s shield basically explodes at the end which sounds great.

Yun Jin’s Elemental Burst is the Banner of Cliffbreaker, it causes an AoE Geo DMG, and applies the effect “Flying Cloud Flag Formation” to nearby party members. It increases basic attack DMG, scaling with Yun Jin’s current DEF. The effect has a time limit and a limited number of stacks are consumed each time you hit an enemy. However, each character has an independent stack amount.

Yun Jin’s Passive Talent

Nurturing light: 12% chance to get double food when cooking food related to adventure effect (reduce health cost, etc).

True to yourself: If you touch E as soon as Yun Jin is hit, it will trigger a level 2 Geo DMG attack. Same thing as when her Shield breaks or disappears.

Without traditionalism: Increases Yun Jin’s Q DMG reward according to the number of characters with different Elements in your party. 1/2/3/4 characters = increase Yun Jin’s DEF 2.5% / 5% / 7.5% / 11.5%.

So Yun-Jin has a counterattack ability. She seems really happy. And it’s best to use her with 3 different Elements in your party than with other Geography characters. Looks like she could fit into any party.

Constellation Yun Jin (December 6 update)

Stylized equestrianism: Whirling Opener’s cooldown is reduced by 18%.

Myriad Mise-en-Scène: After Yun Jin casts Elemental Burst, all surrounding party members take 15% basic attack damage for 12 seconds. (Updated December 6).

Total seafaring: Elemental Burst Level +3.

Ascend, Cloud-Hanger: Increases Yun Jin’s DE by 20% for 12 seconds whenever she activates Crystallize.

Famous throughout the land: Elemental skill level +3.

Humorous comedy: Characters with Cloudy Flag Formation have their Basic Attack speed increased by 12%.

Yun Jin is a 4 star character, which means it’s more likely that F2¨P will at least get her to C1, so it’s nice to see it as a CD reducer and quite useful. (Mise-en-scène means “scenario” in French.)

Genshin Impact 2.4 leak – Shenhe elemental skill, Burst

Here are the full details of Shenhe’s Toolkit. Her Elemental skill is called Spring Spirit Summoning. Using it gives surrounding party members an Icy Quill effect that increases all Cryo’s damage based on Shenhe’s current TC. Icy Quill has a time limit and stacks. You consume 1 stack when hitting an enemy. Each character has an independent number of Icy Quill stacks. Shenhe’s E also has a Press and Hold version, and holding E will help Icy Quill last longer and gain more stacks.

When pressing E, Shenhe will dash forward and deal Cryo damage to enemies in front of her. While holding E, Talisman Spirit deals AoE Cryo damage.

Shenhe’s Elemental Burst is a distribution of the Divine Maiden. It inflicts AoE Cryo DMG and consumes Talisman Spirit, creating a field that reduces the Cryo RES and Physics of the monsters in it. The field also trades Cryo DMG continuously.

Shenhe Passive Talent (December 6, 2021)

Accurate Results and Results: Get 25% more rewards in Liyue Expedition longer than 20 hours.

Deific Embrace: An active character in the field created by Shenhe’s Explosive Elemental/Q will receive a 15% Cryo DMG bonus. (On December 6, the buff was changed from 10% to 15%).

Holy Communion Sign: Shenhe will power up party members when using her elemental Skill/E.
Press: Increases elemental skills and explosion damage by 15% for 10 seconds. Organization: Increases damage of basic attacks by 15%, charges, and dashes by 15% for 15 seconds.
If Shenhe casts her E again while the effect is still active, it will reset the timer.

Constellation Shenhe

Clarity of heart: Spring Spirit Summoning can be used one more time (I guess it works like Sucrose’s E).

Mental focus: Shenhe’s Elemental Power will last for 6 seconds. School characters receive 15% Cryo CRIT DMG bonus.

Secret: Elemental skill level + 3.

Details: When a character activates Icy Quill, Shenhe gains stacks of Skyfrost Mantra: When Shenhe casts her E, Shenhe consumes those stacks and deals increased damage, increasing by 5% per point. Incremental. Up to 50 stacks.

Divine entertainment: Elemental Burst Level + 3.

Abandon the Mystery: When a character activates an Icy Quill with a basic attack or charge DMG, they will not use up all of their Icy Quill.

Overall, Shenhe seems to be a great Cryo DPS and buff. Looks like Shenhe would do a great job at a party with Ganyu. This is interesting because it ties gameplay and story together as both are linked to Cloud Retainer. Shenhe should also work really well with other Cryo characters.

Note that Shenhe and Yun Jin’s kits are quite similar, both using a temporary stack booster. Shenhe’s stacks are much stronger despite being a 5-star character, and can be activated more often while on E instead of Q.

For Constellations, it is normal for the Constellations of Shenhe to be so dominated. Only whales that pay hundreds of dollars get 5 star characters for C6. That’s also why I don’t believe meta discussions and rank lists should take into account 5-star character Constellations. Or else every character is broken.

When will Shenhe and Yun Jin be released?

Genshin Impact Version 2.4 will launch on January 5, 2022. According to the leak, Shenhe will be the first banner of the update.

Again, keep in mind that this is subject to change. Shenhe and Yun Jin’s kits will either be buffed or weakened as the Beta continues. All of these numbers will continue to change, so it’s useless to think about very specific builds right now. It’s not fair to call these changes a “leak” or a “boost” seeing as the characters are still being tested. We will only know the full at their official release.
