miHoYo announced on November 29th about the debut The Genshin effect Teyvat Housou Kyoku (broadcast channel), a radio show with voice actors of characters including Zhongli.
In case you didn’t know, weekly radio shows featuring a seiyuu (Japanese voice actress) is a very common thing. Nearly every new anime gets its own radio show when it starts airing in Japan. On YouTube, Niconico or through exclusive radio stations like Onsen Radio, A&G or HiBiKi Radio Station.
In particular, almost every gacha game has its own radio program and I am surprised that it took miHoYo more than a year to launch a program for The Genshin effect. I think it’s definitely not an easy task to arrange the schedules of the famous seiyuu in the game.

The Genshin effect Teyvat TV channel radio show schedule and guest voice actor
NS The Genshin effect Teyvat Broadcast Channel’s radio show will be hosted by three seiyuu: Tomoaki Maeno (Zhongli) Aoi Koga (Paimon) and Shun Horie (Sora / Aether / male Traveler). Each of the three will alternate and hold different episodes.
The first The Genshin effect The radio episode will be released on November 30, 2021, at 5 a.m. EST / 2 a.m. PST / 10 a.m. GMT. Click here for more time zones and countdowns. Future episodes will be released weekly every Tuesday. The first episode will be hosted by Shun Horie and Aoi Koga.
Tomoaki Maeno commented on Twitter: “I am one of the host of the official show Genshin Radio! I will do my best to convey the charm of Genshin, the shield is activated on top of my turret. Look forward to it!”
What should you expect from Genshin radio show?
First, don’t expect any kind of important news to be shared there. These radio shows always have a news corner. But it is only a compilation of what has been announced. You shouldn’t worry about missing out on important information, it will mostly be fun joking and chatting about the game in general.
Furthermore, all of these radio programs are pre-recorded, and like Japanese television, all are scripted. If you are not used to watching Japanese TV shows or listening to seiyuu radio, you will find it very difficult to listen to. Personally, I like it.
These types of radio shows are usually Japanese. Maybe miHoYo will have official English subtitles on YouTube, but I won’t take that into account. It is highly unlikely that miHoYo will release an English version alongside the English voice actors.
I’ll be sure to write the synopsis for each radio episode as soon as possible, so stay tuned on DualSockers. Live translation of radio streams and shows is something I do all the time so look forward to it.
