Genshin Impact Golden Wolflord How to break its shield, defeat the Boss

Golden Wolflord is the brand new World Boss of The Genshin effect, added with Version 2.3 Darkness in the middle of a blizzard, most notably dropping the Riftborn Regalia, an Ascend Material you’ll need later on for new characters Arataki Itto – Here are some tips for breaking its shield and how to defeat the boss.

Location Golden Wolflord

Golden Wolflord is located in the southern part of Tsurumi Island. There is a Waypoint Teleporter right next to its arena. Golden Wolflord is a World Boss, so it will respawn minutes after you defeat it and there is no reward limit. As long as you have Resin, you can keep raising it.

Basic strategy, how to defeat this new boss

The Golden Wolflord keeps floating around so the main strategy is to bring ranged characters with you, especially Ningguang.

However, there were a few times when he fell to the ground. You’ll have a great chance to deal a lot of damage to a character at close range after the Golden Wolflord does its massive tornado attack. It will lie on its side on the ground and remain motionless for a few seconds. Good chance to explode DMG.

Just like all other Rifthounds enemies, the Golden Wolflord will activate the Corrosion status effect if you are hit by any of its attacks. So bring plenty of HP recovery food or your Barbara to fight.

How to break Golden Wolflord’s shield in The Genshin effect

At some point during the fight, the Golden Wolflord will create a shield that negates damage, and spawns three wolf heads around the field. You will need to break these three wolf heads to destroy the Golden Wolflord’s barrier. And using Geo DMG breaks them down much faster.

Once you’ve broken all three, the boss will be stunned and fall to the ground for a few seconds. Even if its only average HP at that time, if you have good DPS this will be the time when you can end the fight.

Ningguang pretty much makes the battle with the Golden Wolflord boss trivial if you put her on the right path and equip the artifact. You probably have at least one other Catalyst user with a Wanderer’s Artifact with a good substrate right? Just give them to Ningguang.
