Genshin Impact 2.6 Update Line Shows Kamisato Ayato and The Chasm

The Genshin effectThe upcoming 2.6 update of “Zephyr of the Violet Garden”, will bring the head of the boba-loving Kamisato clan, Kamisato Ayato, into the game along with loads of additional content: a brand new area in the Liyue region called The Chasm, a new Archon Quest will share more of the story of the Traveler Twins and Khaenri’a, and a new festive event in Inazuma. Hoyoverse, Mihoyo’s new name, has announced details about The Genshin effectUpdates follow, including a March 30 release date, in a stream on Friday.

Players will eventually get Ayato in 2.6. First officially revealed in February, Ayato is a five-star Hydro character who wields a sword. The live stream showed off his official gameplay including an elemental skill that can double him and an elemental explosion that deals Hyrdro damage that spans a circular field. Additionally, his idle animation shows him pulling an entire cup of unfinished boba tea out of his sleeve and sipping it.

Accompanying Ayato is a new event for the Irodori Magnificent Festival called “The Hats of the Violet Garden.” This event is similar to Lanturn Rite and will feature a list of four minigames that players need to complete in order to receive an invitation card for Juvenile Galant, Xingqiu. In addition to these games, players will see some familiar faces from previous regions such as Klee, Albedo, Sayu, and Venti throughout the festival.

Update 2.6 introduces a new region of Liyue called The Chasm. (Think Dragonspine, but you know, underground.) Along with that, there’s a new Archon Quest with Dainsleif called “Requiem of the Echoing Depths” that will delve into the connection between the Traveler Twins and Khaenri’ a. Footage of the area shows a vast and dark underground world that looks like it used to be a mine. As players explore it, they’ll need to use a special item called the Lumenstone Adjuvant to light up and navigate its dark caverns.

In addition to major updates, The Genshin effect will also bring a new cooking event called “Spices from the West”, a new challenge event where you research crystals and new optimization features that will make storing instructions easy. more accessible and deliver quality-of-life improvements to mobile players. At the end of the live stream, the host also announced that Hoyoverse will also be releasing the second half of the soundtrack from Inazuma.
