Gayle King tested positive for COVID, said when discovered she fell to the floor and had to be brought up
It looks like Covid-19 is gearing up for another morning talk show.
“CBS Mornings” Star Gayle King co-hosted the show from a studio van on Thursday (February 10) after she and her co-workers anchor Vlad Duthiers tested positive for COVID-19. Despite the positive diagnosis, King is determined to appear online, if that means riding in a mobile van.
During Thursday’s broadcast, the 67-year-old journalist explained that she was shocked when she tested positive for Covid because she was so careful throughout the pandemic.
“I was very careful. I can’t believe it.. I had a positive PCR, a negative antigen. Then we took many [tests], all negative. Everyone in my group is negative. I don’t even know how to explain this”.

She continued,
“I just spoke to my doctor, she told Gayle you’re fine, just put on your mask and move on. But it’s very, very jarring, I have to say. ”

Gayle King so shocked by the results, she said she collapsed on the floor and right “Literally Chosen” was initiated by Shawna Thomas, who executive produced “CBS Mornings”.
This news comes just weeks after Gayle signed a new contract with CBS that will keep her at Tiffany Network for the foreseeable future. In a recent interview, Gayle King speak,
“I have officially signed on the dotted line. So I’m going to stick with CBS a little longer.”
King, who is said to earn $13 million a year, has received interest from several major networks, including the former boss of CNN. Jeff Zucker. Zucker had hoped that King would care occupy the 9pm period that has been vacant since the shot Chris Cuomo last month.

Gayle King is scheduled to head to Los Angeles for a much-needed break on Friday (February 11), which she said she “still hopes to do.”
