Gasoline in New Brunswick at lowest price since April after 14 cents drop – New Brunswick

Gas prices in New Brunswick are the lowest in months after they fell nearly 14 cents at pumps on Wednesday night.

The top price for regular self-serve gas is now 174.9 cents a liter – down from 188.8.

Prices have not been this low since mid-April, when the maximum price per liter for self-service petrol was 172.8 cents.

Gas prices have been volatile in recent months due to supply chain disruptions and changing demand.

Just two months ago, in the week of June 9th, New Brunswickers were paying up to 219.2 cents a liter.

The price of diesel also fell on Wednesday evening by 12.8 cents to a new high of 187.8 cents per liter.

Elsewhere in the Maritimes

In Nova Scotia, the maximum price for self-service gas ranges from 165.5 cents per liter in Halifax to 167.5 cents in Cape Breton.

And those in PEI pay the highest price in the Maritimes, with a top price per liter of 177.3 cents.
