The Alliance’s capital city is open to Hearthstone fans on August 3.
Latest card to join United in Stormwind is Garrote, a double-price Rogue spell. It deals two damage to enemy champions and shuffles three Bleeds into your deck. When Bleeds are drawn, they deal two more damage to your opponent’s face.
In theory, that’s eight damage for just two energy. Drawing Bleeds isn’t always easy, but Garrote should still be a workable option when built.
The Rogue class already has a lot of draw mechanics in the form of cards like Swingle and Coldlight Oracle, making Garrote a reliable double.
Sinister Strike, which deals triple damage to enemy champions for one mana, is often played, so why not Garrote? It’s easy to match almost any Rogue deck. It matches the prototype, weapon and Miracle.
Garrote also has a synergy with Grand Empress Shek’zara, who Discovers a card in your deck and draws all its duplicates for six energy.
Spells can be used as a finishing blow to knock down an opponent or create a steady stream of damage throughout the match. There’s a lot to like here.
