Garfield Joins Cast of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl This Week

Today is Tuesday, December 7. That’s notable because it’s not a Monday, which would be the wrong time for Ludosity to announce the first new character coming to Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl: the money truck, hate lasagna, Monday -for-Jim-Davis comic-page cat Garfield.
The trailer for the tempered tabby shows him beating it with the game’s cast of characters, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Ren & Stimpy, and April O’Neill. He uses the precious teddy bear, Pooky, in one of his attacks and overall seems much more aggressive than I remember Garfield ever being portrayed.
In 2019, Nickelodeon owner Viacom acquired Garfield creator Jim Davis’ Paws Inc., holds the marketing rights to Garfield.
Garfield will be added to the game as a free character on December 9, and the developer has promised that there will be one more free character, as well as some paid DLC.
