Gameplay leaks indicate that Pokémon Legends: Arceus has a lot of time travel features

Several copies of Pokémon Legend: Arceus It seems to have started appearing before the official January 28 release date, and leaks have begun to reveal potential plot elements for the game’s story.

One such leak shared a major plot point that will be revealed at the start Arceus, which shows the conversation between The Original One and the player character in a realm “beyond both time and space”.

Arceus telling the player in any capacity is already a huge revelation, but the ensuing sequence of images shared by multiple accounts dedicated to Pokémon rumors and leaks indicates time, or some form dimensional travel, plays an important role.

The player is seemingly awakened in the middle of nowhere by the three starter Pokémon available in the game, Cyndaquil, Rowlet, and Oshawott. From there, the professor of the Hisui region, Professor Laventon, appears and speaks to the player before potentially giving them their first Pokémon and 50 Poké Balls.

It is important to note the difference in appearance between the player character in the image and Laventon. Laventon is clearly wearing a costume more reminiscent of the Hisui region and time period, if a bit more futuristic thanks to being a professor. The player is wearing a more modern outfit that bears a striking resemblance to the outfit available in Pokémon X and Y.

This doesn’t necessarily confirm time travel is the reason for players to look the way they do in the game, but the possibility is.

Another option could be dealing with Ultra Wormholes and their connection to Ultra Space, where characters like Anabel come from. Sun and Moon can be pulled in and lost for a considerable amount of time before being dropped in what could be a completely different reality. Although the use of the Fallers as a storyline would likely depend on them being the Super Beasts in Arceus or some larger plot point linking back to the multiverse established in recent times Pokémon title, so we won’t know what elements are at play until the game is fully released, even if speculation is interesting.
