Prediction for best narrative winner: Strange Life: True Color

Life is Strange True Colors alex uses store flow energy

There are several strong contenders for The best narration, but Life is Strange: True Colors seems to be the most likely winner. True color is the only game among the nominees to use its story as its main selling point, where the others emphasize combat and gameplay. Removing the story from any other nominations will still leave players with fun games, but Life is Strange: True Colors is built on a deep and emotional story, and cannot survive with the story stripped.

Because of the focus in True color is its morally challenging story, the game takes every opportunity to go deeper, considering the thoughts and feelings of every character besides Alex. Alex’s choices determine the relationships she invests in and lead to different consequences. Life is Strange: True Colors will most likely take home Best Narrative next month, especially since it has won similar awards.

Game Awards 2021 go live December 9 at 5:00 p.m. PST.
