G2 signs Aleksib and XTQZZZ as new coach/leader duo in the game, sending nexa to OG

G2 Esports has made a big change in leadership position for CS GO roster today, signing popular in-game frontman Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen and coach Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam.

In their announcement video titled “The Last Piece”, the squad members tried to put their pieces together, even mocking the team’s inability to beat Team Na’ Vi dominate. Aleksib finally showed up to lay the final piece, strengthening the 2022 G2 roster: Aleksib, NiKo, m0NESY, JACKZ and huNter-, all led by coach XTQZZZ.

In an official post, G2 have confirmed their former IGL Nemanja “nexa” Isaković will be moving to OG in exchange for Aleksib. Former G2 main AWPer François “AMANEK” Delaunay has been moved to the bench support m0NESY, a 16-year-old sniper prodigy from Na’Vi’s academy team. M0NESY arrives with sky-high expectations after seven different members of HLTV’s 20 best players named him a potential breakout star of 2022, including current teammate NiKo. and s1mple is ranking number 1.

Aleksib is considered one of the top gamers in the world at the helm in the game. He first gained international attention when he led ENCE’s Finland team to the grand final of the IEM Katowice 2019 Major. After leaving ENCE unexpectedly, Aleksib led the new team of OG CS GO roster, but did not guarantee the team a top spot as a consistent contender during his two years with the organization.

XTQZZZ officially joins G2 after three successful years in coaching Team Vitality, filling the void left by former G2 coach Damien “maLeK” Marcel, who is now leading NA’s new potential superpower List of Evil Geniuses.

G2 had an overall successful year in 2021, but the organization was not satisfied with consistently taking second place to Na’Vi. Now, with the prestigious duo IGL/coach and potential superstar AWPer right from Na’Vi’s own development system, the team will be looking to conquer s1mple and the company in 2022. G2 will debut their new roster against Complexity in the BLAST Premier Spring group stage, in less than a week. G2 signs Aleksib and XTQZZZ as new coach/leader duo in the game, sending nexa to OG
