FURIA Esports reveals plans for 2022, excludes VINI from CS:GO

Brazilian esports organization FURIA Esports has begun discussing their plans for the next CS:GO season. Their head coach, Nicholas “guerrilla” Nogueira, represented the organization until yesterday on the 25th^NS November to reveal that Vinicius “VINI” Figuentico has been dropped from the group’s plans for 2022.

This update from FURIA to mid Report connects VINI’s arrival with North American organization, Team Liquid, also who is expected to undergo a major overhaul next year.

In a personal statement issued by VINI, the 22-year-old said that he “Obviously saddened by that decision,” also talked about his future in CS:GO as he looks forward to continuing to compete for the title.

FURIA head coach, guerrillas, while talking about the team’s plans for the next season mentioned that they do not take into account that VINI will operate in 2022. The reason behind this decision according to guerrillas is FURIA currently looking to add a dedicated AWPer to them. CS:GO roster.

To make room for new marksmen, VINI was the one FURIA decided to remove from the current team. The talented Brazilian racer joined the main lineup in February 2018 after being promoted from the FURIA Academy roster. His tenure with the team ended after almost four years.

Although only 22 years old, VINI made it clear that after playing CS: GO, “I will continue to work in the field of esports that I love and really want it to be associated with FURIA”.

Previous reports have linked players to switching to Liquid, but VINI didn’t mention anything similar. It will be interesting if VINI moves outside of Brazil and FURIA chooses who to strengthen their roster with the big green.
