Franceschi Frenchies’ kennel honors legacy of late son

Sean Bennett, who co-owns Franceschi Frenchies with his wife, Raquel, joked.

For these empty nests, barking replaced the chatter of their five children. But nothing can replace the memory of their youngest, Sean Bennett Jr., who died by suicide at the age of 15.

Sean Sr said: “He loves our dogs. They make him happy. They put him in his happy place.”

Sean Jr loves animals and is always the first to help parents find homes for their new litter.

After their son passed away, the couple decided to fulfill their hobby in honor of the boy. Since then, Franceschi Frenchies has seen 6 generations of award-winning French Bulldogs find the perfect companions.

“I think this just represents him,” Sean Sr. talk about his son.

Now, with every smile in the presence of a playful puppy, parents think about their son’s precious memories.

“If he were here, he would be right here with us, playing with the dogs,” Raquel said. “He wants to share them with people to make everyone happy.”

Judging by their recent sales, it looks like Franceschi Frenchies has made quite a few families happy.

“Some people are waiting for a puppy, they are in a situation where they can have a puppy right now,” says Sean.

Of their last two litters, every puppy available for purchase has found a perfect home.

Their business success also comes with the recent news that the American Kennel Club has ranked French Bulldogs as the second most popular breed in the country, jumping two places from its previous position.

Sean said of the new chart: “It’s great, but it’s also scary. “But we want to make sure our customers know that popularity doesn’t change our ethos and our standards.”

The couple hope to continue breeding the dogs with the goal of placing them in compatible homes, knowing that Sean is smiling.
