Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld spends entire show gloating in front of former CNN co-star Chris Wallace + Demise

Fox News star Greg Gutfeld cheered the sudden demise of CNN’s much-hyped streaming service on Thursday, taking the opportunity to make some jokes at a cost by longtime colleague Chris Wallace.

After the network spent hundreds of millions of dollars on CNN+ and did some hiring, upcoming network CEO Chris Licht informed the platform’s employees on Thursday that the subscription service will shut down just a month after the fraught launch.

Speaking to employees, Licht admitted it was a “single bad situation” following the merger of Discovery with CNN’s parent company WarnerMedia. Discovery’s president of streaming JB Perrette added that “some of this could have been avoided” but that “previous management decided to go ahead” with the March launch plan.

During the Thursday broadcast of Fox News gabfest FiveMeanwhile, Gutfeld saw an opening to throw some dirt on Wallace, who left in December to join a CNN+ gig after 18 years at Fox News.

“The Democrat bench is thinner than Chris Wallace’s demo reel from CNN+,” Gutfeld snapped during the show’s first segment. “I just got to get that in there.”

He hasn’t finished the job yet, which he guarantees will remind viewers throughout the hour.

“BLM did to Blacks what Chris Wallace did to CNN+: lured them in with a promise and then sidelined them,” he quips in the next segment. “I’ll be doing this every segment, so get used to it!”

In the ensuing discussion of former President Barack Obama’s warning about disinformation on social media, Gutfeld! server made two more swipes at Fox News Sunday operator.

“Well, to quote Chris Wallace,” he said with chuckles from his co-hosts: “I don’t think the credibility of this initiative is sustainable.”

A minute later, he ended his talk about the need for apolitical “liberalists” to moderate Twitter with another in-depth look at the veteran news anchor.

“Look for indie vocals if you have some free time, so I guess that gets rid of Chris Wallace,” joked Gutfeld smugly, prompting co-host Jeanine Pirro to agree.

The Fox News joker ended up dropping his notebook of Wallace jokes at the end of the show.

“A lot of solutions that come from the left are unreliable, whether it’s solar panels or windmills,” he said. “I mean, look at CNN+ and how much they’ve invested in wind energy by hiring Chris Wallace.”

Not surprisingly, Gutfeld revealed that he wasn’t a huge fan of Wallace even when the award-winning journalist worked at Fox. After Wallace heaped praise during President Joe Biden’s inaugural address last year, Gutfeld mocked the anchor with an over-the-top performance.
