‘Fox & Friends’ host Brian Kilmeade insists Pete Buttigieg’s Infrastructure Plan is like segregation

Fox and friends Co-host Brian Kilmeade on Thursday compared Transport Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s proposed allocation infrastructure fund about how things were in America when segregation was legal.
Appear as a guest on Tucker Carlson TonightKilmeade pounces on the secretary comment on MSNBC last week on racial gaps in the use of certain forms of transportation. Buttigieg also recently emphasized that the infrastructure decisions he makes are inherently racial and climatic, which he has repeatedly said.
“I think we’ve gotten away from black streets and white streets, and white fountains and black fountains, and black bathrooms and white bathrooms. But now we have that problem again,” complained Kilmeade. “Are we going to prepare the way for the ethnic minorities and ensure the road is level? Can’t believe how this administration sees race and green climate in everything. It’s almost comical if we weren’t forced to live in it.”
Buttigieg’s comments about racial inequality in the transportation system have been mocked in the past by right-wing commentators and politicians. In November, Tucker Carlson called the former mayor of South Bend one of the “stupidest people in the world.” Carlson seems indifferent to real world example illustrates Buttigieg’s point.
Kilmeade’s use of a lousy analogy to make an stale complaint is just the first instance of a Fox host grumbling about a Biden administration official. Kilmeade also mocks that Buttigieg is far away just revealed have a plan to reduce and ultimately eliminate road traffic deaths.
“I am an optimist,” began Kilmeade, “but I do not believe that any human being can help us reduce traffic deaths. If so, I can unbuckle my seat belt and empty the dashboard airbag. I will have to look into that. “
Carlson then said that Buttigieg would in fact achieve this goal “by getting rid of the car”.
“So I think he can really do that well,” said Carlson, perhaps delving into the transport secretary’s focus on public transport. Buttigieg, of course, never said he aimed to get all the cars off the road.
