The end of 2021 has been huge for Xbox, with several triple-A games already released on the platform. One of these famous games is Forza Horizon 5, a racing game set in diverse regions of Mexico. Since the game was released on November 5, it has become one of the the most successful titles on Xbox. Despite such success, the game ran into difficulties after its launch.
Recently, Playground Games, developer of Forza Horizon 5, posted a blog post on its website detailing issues affecting racing simulators. According to the developer, several multiplayer-related issues have been fixed in the game since launch. The post acknowledges that these difficulties are certainly frustrating for those affected, and it promises that fixes will be forthcoming.

Among the issues the developer wants to address is a bug that causes players to randomly disappear from multiplayer. It specifically addresses the issue with Convoys and Horizon Arcade. Furthermore, matchmaking improvements for Horizon Open are coming soon, along with fixes for challenges in Eliminator.
In addition to the server and matchmaking difficulties, Playground Games has covered the topic of in-game cheating. According to the developer, players have posted high scores on the Leaderboard that no one can achieve, except when using cheats. While acknowledging that cheating will never go away, the company revealed that it intends to improve its defenses to prevent cheaters and hackers from ruining people’s gaming experience. is different.
The blog post also discusses domestic changes to custom game creator called EventLab. Based on information from the developer, a future update will allow players to save and edit content made in the generator. The rationale behind these upcoming changes to the feature is to allow gamers to save their work on projects and return to them later. “We know how difficult it is to create masterpieces that many of you are famous for in one sitting,” the post explains. Furthermore, the developer notes that systems are being developed to prevent AFK XP/credit farms in EventLab.
It’s nice to hear that the company seems committed to fixing these issues affecting multiplayer for Forza Horizon 5. While an exact date on when these fixes will be implemented has yet to be revealed, the high priority of these issues suggests that fans won’t have to wait long. Hopefully Playground Games will sort out many of these issues soon so those who want to race with their friends can get back on the track.
