Fortnite v17.20 update today (July 20)

Fans have been waiting weeks for v17.20 Fortnite update, but the time has finally come as it will officially release today (July 20) for all platforms.

Fortnite v17.20 Update

v17.20 will be the second major update for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 and will release for all platforms on July 20.

The big update will bring it a brand new ‘sort of favorite items’ feature that many fans have been wanting for a while. According to Epic Games, “This setting organizes your picks within the inventory you specify for more control over what goes where. This new option will be Enabled with the default selection for everyone in v17.20. ”

Server Downtime Schedule

Based on Epic game, the Fortnite The server will be taken offline at the following times:

• 11:30 p.m. PT (July 19)
• 2:30 a.m. ET (July 20)
• 7:30am BST (July 20)

Unfortunately, no official time has been given as to how long the server downtime will last. However, we expect it to last around 1 hour based on previous updates.

This is an update that introduces the previously announced Fancy Item Slot setting. Also: Arena playlists will be disabled starting July 19 at 10:00 PM ET (July 20 at 02:00 UTC). We plan to make them available again once the downtime is over, but there may be delays.

For this update, Career statistics may stop updating just before the downtime begins, but they should be accurate after the downtime ends.

We’ve heard reports from players that the “Deploy Aliens Anywhere But Holly Hatchery” Mission is not tracking progress correctly. We plan to autocomplete this Task when v17.20 is released.
