Fortnite patch makes tornadoes and lightning storms more common
Epic Games released a fix for Fortnite to make the game’s newly added weather effects, Tornadoes and Lightning, more frequent and chaotic.
Less than a week ago Epic Games added some exciting new content Fortnite. Both tornadoes and lightning are included Fortnite. While tornadoes and lights add some fun to the game Fortnite, they’re also simply fun to see on a map. Epic liked them so much that it even dropped a hotfix that increased tornado and lightning rates.
Recent release hotfix for Fortnite make four different changes. The first three solutions to deal with tornadoes and the last to deal with lightning storms. Changing the tornado first increases the chance of a tornado from 80% to 100%. Each storm will have a tornado going forward. Furthermore, tornadoes can now appear in the first six storms on each map, instead of the first five. This will keep the tornado part of the action for the entire match. Finally, a tornado could appear in the first storm every game in two minutes now, instead of after three.
The change to light is similar to one of the tornado changes. Shining storms can now appear after two minutes instead of three. It’s not clear if this is after each storm or just the first, as with the tornado note. Even so, illuminating storms are likely to arrive earlier and, as a result, may even last longer.
The last important thing after this hotfix is Fortnite player will see tornadoes come earlier and last longer in the game. While inactive permanently, tornadoes and lights will occur so often, that they are clearly meant to change the game. That’s not to say tornadoes and lightning won’t change the previous game, but this fix should make them more influential in every match.
It’s also possible that Epic Games feels like the weather isn’t having the desired impact on the matches they want, which makes sense since Epic could have put a lot of effort into adding new systems.
