Fortnite may add a slide mechanic in Chapter 3
A reputable data reviewer and publisher reports that the popular battle royale title Fortnite may be added to a Slide engine in Chapter 3.
Fortnite is one of the most popular games on the market today, and one of the ways it maintains that popularity is by providing players with an ever-evolving experience. Not only does the game offer players a steady stream of events, but new developments in the story often come with new challenges and even new mechanics. Now, a leaker has shared the hint that Fortnite will probably get a Slide mechanic soon.
This is not the first time evidence of a skaters come Fortnite shared on the internet. Previously, the same user – reputable leak service provider and data researcher HYPEX – told fans that Epic Games has added a new type of Slide movement to the game. However, at the time, they stated that they did not know when the Slide mechanism would be fully implemented.
Now, HYPEX has given the Slide Craftsman a future release date by attaching it to the upcoming Chapter 3 update, which is expected to come out shortly after. Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 ends. Along with the release date, the leaker also posted a screenshot that seems to show Fortnite players slide on their knees while firing weapons and holding grenades. HYPEX also announced that a new Point of Interest will be added in the Chapter 3 update.
While it sounds unlikely that Epic Games will add a brand new motion engine, this isn’t the first time. Fortnite there’s a new mechanic. HYPEX went into some detail on what fans can expect from the Sliding mechanic in their previous leak, where they stated that Sliding would increase player vision by 15 in the process. move as well as cause the camera to shake. Also, they say that the Slide mechanic will have a cooldown of two seconds, but they don’t know if Sliding is an equippable skill.
As of writing, it seems other fans are tentatively interested in the abilities of a Slide mechanic. However, many Twitter users expressed skepticism about the possibility or the reported release date. One user joked that a Slide mechanic would prove that Fortnite do not copy Call of Duty, while another said they think the screenshot doesn’t actually show a Sliding player. Some users also expressed interest in the possibility New POIs in Fortnite, while another was distracted by what could be a new tree pattern glimpsed in the screenshot.
