Former Trump Institution CFO Allen Weisselberg Deposed in D.C. Inaugural Lawsuit

The former Trump Organization chief financial officer will be forced to participate in a “very limited” removal related to a lawsuit over alleged waste of money and self-dealing by the former president’s inaugural committee, a The judge ruled on Thursday.

During Thursday’s status hearing, Judge Yvonne Williams said she would “allow limited removal” of Allen Weisselberg, who has been indicted on unrelated charges in a New York tax fraud case York. Among other things, the DC Attorney General’s Office alleges that after the bill for hotel rooms booked by the Trump Organization for the inauguration was passed to a collection agency, the nonprofit committee stuck with the bill.

The move comes after Trump’s legal team asked a judge to spare the stuck chief financial officer.
